Shanah Gavia

Shanah Gavia works as a Physician Associate (PA-C, MPAS) at Integrative Skin & Beauty and brings more than 25 years of dermatology experience. For over two decades before joining this practice, she worked alongside Douglas Hamilton, MD, at his Woodland Hills office. She earned a certificate in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a master's in PA studies focused on dermatology from the University of Nebraska. She has also completed specialized training in Root Cause Dermatology and in Dermatology: Clinical and Integrative Essentials (DCIE). She has training as a certified herbalist and as a Reiki practitioner, and is a premium member of the LearnSkin Integrative Dermatology community. She is a Fellow of both the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates and the California Dermatology Physician Assistant Society. Her day-to-day work includes diagnosing and treating skin conditions, injectables and advanced aesthetic procedures, and removing moles and skin growths, with the aim of keeping visible scarring to a minimum.
