Shan (Shanitra)

Shan, who goes by Shanitra in full, is the Master of Braidless Expert at The Shantastic Hair Life and works as a Multicultural Hair Extension Specialist. She specializes in all types of hair extensions, and her installs aim for a natural look using no-braid weaving. She works with everyday women such as moms, career women and those wanting a new look.

Her first styling work was for family and friends during high school. She trained at Pro Way Hair School in Stone Mountain, Georgia, in fall 2008, where she was regarded as one of the top stylists in her training class. She has secured a license and has ten years of professional experience.

Her credits include work with the product development team of Design Essentials, a local product company, and styling for the Miss Black US Ambassador Pageant, the World Natural Hair Show and the Ledisi Mobile Bus Tour. She has also worked as a hairstylist for fashion shows and TV productions. She keeps current through trade shows, continuing education and guidance from industry mentors. Clients also get guidance on caring for their hair while wearing extensions, and on supporting hair growth.
