About
Shal is the founder and CEO of AcneFix, which she started in 2018. She trained in medicine in Malaysia, earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Surgery in plastic and reconstructive surgery (MS), and practiced as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Malaysia's largest plastic surgery center until 2014.
She moved to Houston in 2015, moved into esthetics there and began treating acne. She holds a Licensed Esthetician license and is a Texas Certified Laser Professional and Texas Certified in Microneedling and PRP.
She believes healing depends on treating the cause rather than the symptom, and applies that view to acne.
