Seiko Kubota

Seiko Kubota is a colorist at Salon JKU who divides her time between select East Coast cities and Japan. She began working in color at 18 at a top salon in Tokyo, where she became one of the busiest colorists. She later taught seminars and private classes for color companies, Japanese fashion magazines and advertisers. She trained with Michael Murphy in New York. Her specialty is dark hair, including layered golds, chestnut tones, and warm and cool umbers for mousy or muddy browns. Colleagues describe her as a color savant.
