Sean Younai

Sean Younai, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing at the Encino and Bakersfield locations of Younai Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he has hospital staff privileges at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center and Encino Hospital. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Wound Healing Society and the American Medical Association. Early in his career he won several research grants and academic awards, among them a 1997 presentation award from the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery. The practice says he has performed thousands of procedures. He earned a BS in Biochemistry from UCLA in 1985 and an MD from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1989. Postgraduate training followed: a general surgery residency at University of California, San Francisco, East Bay, in 1993; a plastic surgery research fellowship at University of Southern California in 1994; a microsurgery and hand surgery fellowship at University of Pittsburgh in 1995; and a plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Massachusetts in 1997, an affiliate of the Harvard Plastic Surgery Program. His specialties are body contouring, tummy tucks and liposuction. For tummy tucks he pairs liposuction fat removal with skin tightening. The Bakersfield page lists him as a specialist in large volume liposuction, and the Glendale page says he is skilled at liposuction of the thighs, buttocks and chest. He also performs breast augmentation, eyelid surgery and facelifts, and gives dermal fillers including Botox and Restylane. The practice says he is a genuine authority on body contouring and counts him among the top tummy tuck surgeons in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Patients include men and women seeking cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Non-surgical consultations are held with him or his aesthetic nurse. According to office manager Laura Neydavoud, he answers patient pager calls right away, wherever he is, and promises a response to every concerned patient's call, day or night.
