Scott Chapin, a board-certified plastic surgeon, founded Chapin Aesthetics in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and has more than 27 years of experience in plastic surgery. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Lafayette College in 1984 and a Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in 1988. His training includes a general surgery residency at Washington Hospital Center from 1988 to 1994, a plastic surgery research fellowship at the University of Southern California and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles from 1990 to 1991, and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh from 1994 to 1996. He also has advanced training in aesthetic medicine.

He holds certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Early in his career he practiced privately at Bucks County Plastic Surgery Center in Langhorne before moving on to Plastic Surgery Associates in Doylestown. His hospital affiliations include Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Surgery Center, Grandview Hospital and Fort Washington Surgery Center. His research was published in the Journal of Burn Care & Rehabilitation in 1991 and in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1993.

He has presented at professional meetings, among them the American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses Convention in Chicago in 2014 and in Boston in 2015. Beyond presenting, he has written for publications, given lectures and taught advanced techniques to other surgeons. He belongs to the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

His surgical work spans breast procedures such as augmentation, reduction, lifts, implant removal and reconstruction; body contouring such as tummy tuck, liposuction, body lift and post-weight-loss contouring; and facial procedures such as facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. For men, he offers gynecomastia treatment, male facelift and neck lift, and body contouring. Each patient has an educational consultation to review their options. He gives patients his cell phone number and stays personally involved with them through recovery.
