Scott B. Hearth, MD, FAAD

Scott B. Hearth, MD, FAAD, is the Medical Director of Granite Bay Dermatology and Laser Center and a board-certified dermatologist. He earned a B.S. in Nutrition Science from UC Davis and an M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, then completed a dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He later trained in a fellowship in cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery at UCSF under Dr. Richard Glogau, and afterward held clinical faculty positions at Vanderbilt and in the Department of Dermatology at UCSF. He was one of the investigators in the UCSF clinical trials that led to FDA approval of Botox for wrinkles.

He launched the practice in 2003. His work covers cosmetic dermatology, dermal fillers and injectables, and medical and cosmetic laser procedures, including surgical laser treatment of medical conditions. He has advanced experience using medical lasers for vascular and cosmetic results, selects the settings for each Vbeam Prima treatment based on skin tone, and keeps up with continuing education on new laser technology. He also offers personalized facial contouring, including techniques for men. He has been a recognized leader in dermatology for more than two decades.

He performs most injectable treatments, including Botox and fillers, and many laser and cosmetic procedures. Before any filler procedure he reviews the benefits and risks with the patient, and he combines medical knowledge, injection skill and aesthetic judgment. He welcomes patients who are not yet sure which treatment they want. Readers of Roseville/Granite Bay Style Magazine have voted him their number one favorite dermatologist for more than a decade.
