Sarah Weitzul, MD

Sarah Weitzul, MD, FAAD, is a Mohs surgeon at the practice. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a leader in her specialty.

She graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University and received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she also completed a dermatology residency. Her internal medicine internship was at Baylor University Medical Center. During her Mohs micrographic and dermatologic surgery fellowship at UT Southwestern she received the Theodore Tromovitch Award, a national research prize presented each year by the American College of Mohs Surgery.

She was full-time faculty at UT Southwestern from 2002 to 2009 and served as Director of the Clinical Center for Cosmetic Dermatology there. She received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2008 and remains on the clinical faculty, teaching residents in the skin surgery clinic at the Dallas VA Medical Center. She has served as President and Vice President of the Dallas Dermatologic Society, as Medical Director for several community skin cancer screenings, and as chair of several committees in national dermatology organizations. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Women's Dermatologic Society, has authored numerous scientific publications and textbook chapters, and regularly lectures at national dermatology meetings.
