About
Sarah Lawrence co-owns Salon Filament and works as a stylist there. She specializes in dimensional color, especially balayage, and is trained in classic balayage and modern hair painting.
Her haircutting training includes an apprenticeship in Seattle under mentors, where she learned French-style cutting, a method that focuses on the shape of the head and face for a softer, more organic cut. She also apprenticed with Robert Leonard and completed advanced haircutting training at Jamison Shaw Academy.
Other training includes 901 Salon workshop training in foilyage, Salt Society hair painting training, and Oribe Advanced Education and Ateliers. She has worked as a stylist for Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. She won the 2015 Beacon Hairstyling Award and was a nominee for Avant Garde Hairstylist at the 2016 Northwest Hairstyling Awards.
