Sara Tafrishi

Sara owns Atelier and works as its skin specialist. She began working in skincare in Europe in 1996, after studying Eastern and Asian health-based skincare techniques in Japan from 1990 to 1995. She has worked as a licensed skincare and skin therapy specialist in the USA since 2000, opened her own private studio in 2008, and has provided clinical skin care for over 21 years.

Her training includes the International Dermal Institute from 2001 to 2005, with courses in Chinese acupressure, Chinese diagnosis, pigmentation disorders, acne, OHASHI, manual lymph drainage, reflexology and solar defense. She is a licensed electrologist in permanent hair removal, has been certified to perform Synergie AMS treatments since 2003, and became a Synergie Post Surgical Procedure Specialist in 2007. She has also studied body sculpture technique and has worked with the Dermalogica line for about ten years.

Her work covers custom facials, body treatments and Chinese Diagnosis face and body reading, for which she has been certified since 2003 through the Face and Body Reading International Dermal Institute. The reading looks at signs such as pigmentation, acne, breakouts, uneven texture and energy imbalance, drawing on the Nei Jing, an early Chinese medical text that views symptoms in relation to the whole body. She has helped many clients who were unhappy with the results of past surgical procedures.
