Samir Shah, MD

Dr. Samir Shah, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who runs an established practice at A New You, concentrating on aesthetic work of the breast, body and face. He completed a finance major at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before earning his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. His training covers general surgery, a plastic surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center, and a year-long fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York, under Larry Hurst, M.D. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery and also serves as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where residents rotate with him. He has contributed many scholarly papers to medical journals, speaks to local organizations, and previously directed the aesthetic rotation at A New You.
