Samer Jaber, M.D.

Samer Jaber, M.D., founded Washington Square Dermatology, where he practices as a board-certified dermatologist. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, teaching medical students and dermatology residents there. His care covers patients of every age and skin type, spanning medical and cosmetic dermatology. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida and earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. In medical school, he was chosen for the Clinical Research Training Program fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. His internship in internal medicine was at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan, and his dermatology residency at the University of Rochester, where he was named chief resident. He holds certification from the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He performs laser treatments personally at the practice and is listed among its acne-care and skin cancer screening providers. Teaching and mentorship awards have come to him from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and in 2023 the Melanoma Research Foundation presented him its Excellence in Prevention Award. He has been named to the New York Times Super Doctors and Castle Connolly Top Doctors lists every year since 2017, and he is also listed among New York Magazine Top Doctors. His goal is to give each patient the standard of care he would expect for a loved one.
