Samantha Reed

Samantha Reed is a hair artist who works under the name Your Royal Hairness, and she has been working in the hair industry since 2013. She started at the chain salon TGF and later spent many of her early years at Great Clips and Sports Clips. After a period away from hair work to pursue other career paths, she returned to hair work and focused on coloring.

Color is her main focus. She has specialized in vivid color transformations since 2023. Her training includes hands-on shadowing with Audrey Moreland and Melissa Burgess in 2024, the Bellami Hair Extensions Master Class in 2024, and a look-and-learn course on intentional foil placement in 2025. She also took Rebecca Taylor's Maryland Shag Masterclass in 2025 and took part in the Learn From Us Tour in 2025.

She trained at Empire Beauty School in 2014 and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She is actively licensed through the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists as of 2025, and is actively insured as of 2025. Her event attendance includes The Rainbow Convention in New York and Behind The Chair Beauty Show in Dallas in 2024, Cosmo Prof Beauty events in 2023 and 2024, and The Moroccanoil Collective in Las Vegas in 2025.

She was nominated for Top 10 'Rainbow Prisms' at the Rainbow Convention in 2024, and for Top 10 'Mature', Top 10 'Kids' and Top 10 'Master Vivid Colorist of the Year' at the 2025 convention. She was also ranked in the Top 100 for Creative Color at the Behind The Chair One Shot Hair Awards in 2025.
