Salvatore J. Pacella

Salvatore J. Pacella is a board-certified plastic surgeon who practices at Scripps Clinic in Del Mar. His specialty is facial and eyelid surgery, known as oculoplastic surgery, and he has a particular interest in eyelid rejuvenation. His training includes a specialized fellowship in oculoplastic surgery in Atlanta, completed with Drs. Clinton McCord and Mark Codner. He trained at several leading institutions across the U.S.

He has lectured and taught his techniques across the United States and abroad, including in Dubai, Melbourne, Milan, Toronto and Buenos Aires. He wrote the textbook Aesthetic Reconstruction After Mohs Surgery, which received the 2017 Highly Commended Book Award from the British Medical Association, has been translated into 15 languages and is used in Mohs surgery teaching programs across the U.S. He also co-authored a peer-reviewed study on the outpatient safety of tummy tucks performed with and without breast surgery.
