Safa Sharabi, MD

Safa Sharabi, MD, practices plastic and reconstructive surgery at Sharabi Plastic Surgery in Santa Monica, where she is board-certified. Her credentials include certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

She holds a bachelor's degree in science from UCLA. Her medical school training and integrated residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery took place at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in microvascular and complex reconstructive surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2017. She also held the post of Assistant Director of Risk and Patient Safety at Kaiser Permanente, a high-volume surgical setting that serves a broad range of patients.

Her caseload covers difficult breast reconstruction and microsurgical flap work, along with revision of earlier breast operations for problems such as capsular contracture, asymmetry and implant failure. She also handles complex reconstruction after earlier treatment, after radiation-related tissue changes, or where anatomy is challenging. Facial aesthetic procedures include facelift, blepharoplasty and brow lift. Other services are scar revision, mole removal, Mohs reconstruction, keloid treatment, scar camouflage tattooing and hair restoration for men and women. She has performed thousands of surgeries and has close to ten years of reconstructive surgery experience.
