S. Novak Young

Young runs a personal grooming practice, drawing on more than 45 years in beauty and fashion. Training includes a fashion marketing major and a top-of-class graduation from Pivot Point International Academy, plus courses with Barry Fletcher, Rob Willis and John Atchison. Young is a board certified cosmetologist. Right after school, the early role was assisting Atlanta stylists Tom Harris, Scott Julian and Rochelle at Rochelle Salon. An early win at the Bronner Brothers Total Male Image Competition of Atlanta. Later, Young worked as a national platform artist for the Ricci International Team, promoting Ricci Fixx Design and Helena Troy Hot Tools, and added make-up work through a partnership with Fashion Fair Cosmetics. Modeling credits include men's work in the U.S. and Europe, an earlier international modeling career, and an eight-page feature in Italy's Mondo Uomo magazine. The aim is complete beauty for each client, built on a belief that beauty starts with self-understanding. Young has worked as a personal stylist for affluent clients including Steve Harvey, Michael Jordan and local television personalities, and serves an upscale clientele. He also gives speaking engagements and motivational training on True Beauty and Address for Success, and wrote The Untold Story: What the Beauty Industry Hopes You Will Never Figure Out, published in 2018.
