About
Dr. S. Heath Trowell serves as a physician at the practice, holding board certification in family medicine. He has also worked as an emergency medicine physician, assessing and treating acute and chronic medical problems. He co-founded Governors with Dr. Ashley Trowell. He holds a bachelor's in finance and insurance from the University of Florida, earned with honors, plus a master's in international business with a concentration in international finance, also with honors. His medical degree and Master of Medical Science came from American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. After an internship year at Columbus Regional Medical Center, he trained in family medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, based in Knoxville, and also trained at high-volume hospitals in Los Angeles and New York City. Once his family medicine practice changed hands to a larger health system, he opened a private practice again. He takes time to hear each patient's full story, explains conditions in plain language, and places value on spending time with patients and their families.
