Ryan McKinley

Ryan McKinley is the owner and a master stylist of Ryan M Scottsdale. He has worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years and began his career at 18, after leaving Salt Lake City, Utah. He was accepted into the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California, and then joined an assistant program in Beverly Hills, where he spent about three years working under celebrity stylists.

He later opened his first salon in Salt Lake City, which he says doubled in size within two years. He says the salon was named the number one salon in the city within five years and was featured in New Beauty Magazine among the 10 best salons in the USA. He also became a platform artist for Tony and Guy and has provided education for several beauty brands.

He then partnered with the owner of a busy Scottsdale salon, sold his Utah salon and moved to Scottsdale to work as that salon's colorist. He spent about ten years there building a clientele and says he trained seven assistants during that time, who went on to become masters of their craft. After that salon's owner passed away, he opened Ryan M Scottsdale as his own business.
