About
Rya the Hairbender owns Bend & Bond and runs the extension work from House of Ivy in Boston. Nine years into hairstyling, the focus turned to extensions a few years ago, with a specialty in K-Tips and sew-in wefts. Extension education courses and certifications in several extension methods have been built alongside hands-on work in extensions and color.
At House of Ivy, teaching extensions to other stylists is part of the role. Each install is tailored to the client's lifestyle, and clients are shown how to keep their results looking good, with care given to the condition of natural hair and to how comfortable the process feels.
