Ruth Hill Yeilding, MD

Ruth Hill Yeilding, MD, is a facial plastic surgeon and owns YMD Facial Plastic Surgery in Winter Park. She holds dual board certification from the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Ophthalmology. She has more than 16 years in facial plastic surgery and is medically trained. She earned her medical doctorate at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude in June 2007. An internship in internal medicine and general surgery followed at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Austin, from 2007 to 2008. Ophthalmology residency came next at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013 she completed an oculoplastic and facial cosmetic surgery fellowship at Center for Sight in Sarasota, training under Dr. John Fezza. During 2011 and 2012 she also practiced as a physician and surgeon at West Coast Dermatology in Sarasota. Her work centers on the upper face and neck, including facelifts, blepharoplasty, laser resurfacing and facial rejuvenation, and she brings oculofacial plastics together with ophthalmology. Her blepharoplasty approach is tailored using her ophthalmology training, and she performs laser eyelid surgery with CO2 lasers for incisions. She also offers customized full-face CO2 laser resurfacing for deep wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity, precancerous lesions and discoloration. Fillers and other nonsurgical treatments, paired with personalized skincare, are part of her approach to helping results last. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the Florida Medical Association. She has published research and presented posters at Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology meetings.
