Roy David, MD

Roy David, MD, practices as a facial plastic surgeon and is the owner-operator of the medical spa. His surgical focus is the face, nose, eyes, neck and scalp, where he performs facelifts, rhinoplasty, eyelid rejuvenation, hair transplants, ear reshaping, facial fat grafting and skin resurfacing. Over ten years of practice in San Diego, he has also built a CoolSculpting center in the city and oversees its process at the medical spa. His fellowship in facial plastic surgery was completed through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He spent five years in a residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where the field was otolaryngology with head and neck surgery. Medical training also included the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship at the Rousso Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic in Birmingham. He studied at UCSD as a regents scholar, graduating summa cum laude, and serves as a volunteer clinical instructor in its Department of Surgery. His techniques include endoscopic forehead lifts, laser skin resurfacing and follicular unit hair transplants, aiming for a natural-looking, highly aesthetic outcome. He is considered one of the top facial plastic surgeons in the country and among the best for rhinoplasty, facelift and eyelid procedures, and has appeared on national TV numerous times. He lists the Compassionate Doctor Recognition and Patients' Choice Award (both 2011) and Top Doctors (2018). Patients often travel to San Diego from across the country for his surgery.
