Roxanne Nguyen

Roxanne Nguyen founded The Lacquer Room and works as a nail and makeup artist. She specializes in complicated nail designs and has worked with clients including Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, and Steffiana James.

She began doing nails in Las Vegas by age 18, after receiving a manicuring license at 17 through an apprenticeship. Her training later took her to West Hollywood, where she learned hairstyling and earned a cosmetology license by apprenticing under a celebrity hair stylist.

She worked as an educator and artist for Entity Beauty, teaching and selling its products across the United States at trade shows, private classes, and open house workshops. Through Entity Beauty she learned advanced nail techniques from award-winning nail artists. After five years away she returned to Kansas City and opened the salon.
