About
Rovina Nugara leads Kess as its artistic director and proprietor. She first worked as a hair stylist in Sri Lanka, where she learned Vidal Sassoon techniques, and later moved into management as a stylist. She has been in the hair industry for over thirty years, and she won a hair and beauty competition in Sri Lanka.
She went on to study in Singapore and trained with Tony & Guy in the UK. She keeps up with changing trends by taking part in overseas training and industry conferences. Her career also includes nine years running Salon Rovina in Arlington and a period at the Hair Gallery in Roslyn.
Her services range from hair design and lightening to perms, keratin treatments and bridal styling. Her clientele is large and loyal.
