Rosie Wells

Rosie Wells owns Permanent Makeup by Rosie Wells and works as its artist. She started in the beauty industry in 1985, when she opened her own salon, and ran it for thirteen years. She trained in California during early permanent cosmetics classes, and she has more than 30 years in the field.

Her work history includes Rosie Wells Faces in Milwaukee from 1992 to 1997 and the Clinic of Cosmetic Surgery in Milwaukee from 1994 to 2021, where she worked with Dr. Donald Levy and Dr. Roger Mixter. She has run a private permanent cosmetics practice in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, since 1997, and earlier worked at Bougainvillea Clinic in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, from 1998 to 1999 and at Shaw Clinic for Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton, Florida, from 1999 to 2001. She has worked at Illume Cosmetic Surgery and MedSpa since 2021.

Her training covers advanced courses in skin re-pigmentation and color correction, areola pigmentation and cleft lip corrections, and scar camouflage and other medical procedures alongside traditional permanent makeup. She has studied with permanent makeup professionals across the United States and keeps her skills current through ongoing education and workshops. She is a member of the American Institute of Permanent Color Technology and the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical Nurses, previously served as Midwest representative for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, and has served on a committee on State of Wisconsin regulation of cosmetic tattooing.

She focuses on microblading, permanent eyeliner and lip blush, and she performs corrections and microblading on men's brows. Lip blush is shaped around each client's look and daily life.
