Roman J. Dykun, MD

Roman J. Dykun, MD works as a physician in facial plastic surgery at DermaVita MediSpa. He has been practicing facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in McHenry and Lake Counties since 1982, with a particular focus on medical and surgical care for skin lesions and dermatologic conditions. His medical school training was at the University of Toronto, where he carried out dermatologic research into how skin reacts to light exposure. He also completed his facial plastic surgery specialty training at the University of Toronto. He holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS(C)) and is board certified through the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He received the R.I. Harris Award for Surgery. Early in his career he lectured in facial plastic surgery at Hines V.A. Hospital, which is affiliated with Loyola Medical Center. He has served on the boards of directors of Memorial Medical Center and Northern Illinois Medical Center, and he was elected Vice Chairman of Surgery at Northern Illinois Medical Center. He currently sits on the board of directors of the McHenry County Physicians Organization, which includes 185 physicians across McHenry, Lake and Kane Counties.
