Roman Bronfenbrener

Roman Bronfenbrener is a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Pennsylvania Dermatology Specialists, with the credentials MD and FAAD. He holds board certification in dermatology and in Mohs micrographic surgery, and his practice spans medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He holds a Clinical Assistant Professor appointment at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, where he oversees teaching clinics and lectures. He also operates a private clinic focused on complex dermatologic diseases. His academic start was at Rutgers University, where he graduated summa cum laude and won the S. Oakley Van der Poel award for academic merit in biology. He took his medical degree with honors from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. His dermatology residency was completed at Stony Brook University Hospital, and he trained at the Memorial Sloan Kettering skin cancer center. He trained in dermoscopy during residency. During residency he was Chief Resident, an editor for Cutis, and recipient of the Beiersdorf Resident of Distinction award. He has finished the JAAD editorial fellowship and has volunteered clinically at a Native American health service. His clinical interests include dermoscopy, surgical and medical management of skin cancer, and both acute and chronic dermatologic conditions.
