Robert Niedbalski, DO

Robert Niedbalski, DO is a hair surgeon who founded Northwest Hair Restoration and leads its hair restoration surgery practice. He earned a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Michigan State University, completed a general surgery residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan, and finished a rotating internship at Detroit Osteopathic and Bi-County Community Hospitals in Detroit. He holds a bachelor of science from Wayne State University in Detroit. Before specializing in hair loss, he practiced for 15 years as a board-certified family physician, and he later worked for a corporate hair restoration business for several years before starting his own practice. He has spent more than 25 years diagnosing and treating hair loss and has performed surgical hair restoration for over 25 years. He is a diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (since 1995) and of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (since 2002), where he is a past president and has served as an examiner and on the exam writing committee since 2008. He holds state licenses in California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. He has been involved with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Fellowship Training Program since 2002, as program director, committee member and former chairman, and he serves as faculty for its advanced review course and for workshops that train medical students, residents and practicing physicians. His research focuses on renewing miniaturized hair follicles, and he is involved in two NIH studies on tissue regeneration and hair multiplication. He also provides Botox at the clinic alongside hair restoration.
