Robert M. Freund

Robert M. Freund is a board certified plastic surgeon with 26 years of practice in New York City. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and attended Cornell University Medical School, where he was top in his class. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He favors the vertical vector SMAS facelift over horizontal lifting and adapts each facelift to the individual patient. His other procedures include brow lifts, mid-face lifts, eye lifts and secondary rhinoplasty, a revision of a nose that has already undergone cosmetic surgery. He developed the Viafill fat transfer method, in which harvested fat is purified before injection to restore facial volume. He invented the Teardrop Augmentation Mastopexy breast lift. He is listed as an inventor and author. New York magazine named him one of New York's leading plastic surgeons in 2003. In 2003 the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons gave him a scientific exhibit prize for his work on lateral brow lifts, and Library Journal named Cosmetic Breast Surgery the best consumer health book. He oversees training for the medical spa's aesthetic staff. His stated aim is results that enhance a patient's features without looking overdone or artificial.
