Rimma Finkel, MD

Rimma Finkel, MD, is a plastic surgeon with double board certification who practices in the Phoenix metro area and travels to Banner in Glendale. She earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 2001, completed general surgery training at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center through 2006, and then trained in plastic surgery at the University of Louisville. She opened her own private practice in 2008. Her caseload includes breast procedures, both reconstructive and cosmetic, along with face and body surgery, body contouring and other reconstruction. For breast reconstruction she uses implant expanders, flap techniques and nipple reconstruction, and she sees patients rebuilding after mastectomy. She also specializes in body lifts, including lower body lifts following weight loss, and in liposuction, where she favors tumescent technique and ultrasound-assisted liposuction. For thighs she performs medial and lateral lifts, and for patients with significant excess skin and fat she offers the extended medial thigh lift. She talks through with each patient whether an extended or traditional version suits them. Patient safety and comfort come first during surgery, and she aims for results that look natural and are aesthetically pleasing. She provides personalized post-operative instructions and follow-up appointments. Non-surgical options include Botox, Restylane, Radiesse and Juvederm. Her memberships include the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is among the few female double board-certified plastic surgeons in the valley.
