Richard is a stylist at Refine Beauty Salon who began his hair styling career in 1976, after graduating from Ballard Beauty School. His first job was at Vibrations, a salon on Capitol Hill in Seattle, and he went on to work at various Seattle area salons after Vibrations closed. He opened Salon Modello in 2004 and it closed in October 2015. He then joined the Salon Refine team. He has trained at TIGI Academies in New York, Dallas, Long Beach and Santa Monica, and TIGI Updates in Seattle.
