Rebecca Benson

Rebecca Benson is the preoperative nurse educator at the practice and also works as an operating room and PACU nurse. She has more than fifteen years of nursing experience, the last five of them in plastic surgery recovery care. She earned her nursing degree from City College of San Francisco and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Ohio University. She meets every surgical patient at the preoperative visit to cover education, postoperative instructions, medication prescriptions and, when needed, drain teaching. She explains what recovery involves, activity restrictions, and which medications and supplements to stop before surgery. Her approach with patients is kind, warm and supportive.
