About
Ray Rose is the owner stylist at Ray Rose Style in Suite 405, working with mature and changing hair in Austin. He has more than 30 years of experience and specializes in hair over 40.
Ray was licensed in the summer of 1996 after training at Howard College of Cosmetology in San Angelo, Texas, and completed instructor license training at Aladdin Beauty School in 1999. Continuing education includes Bumble and Bumble color training in New York City in 2012 and 2014, Bumble and Bumble haircut training in 2013, Pinnacle color training with Dennis Gebhart of Guru Nation in 2022, and advanced balayage training in 2025. He has also trained in Greece in scalp care and the Scacial, spent a summer in California studying with a hair color chemist, a color creator and a colorist, and attends classes every year.
He cuts with both scissors and razor, chosen by the look the client wants, and teaches clients the techniques and products that work for their hair so they can recreate the look at home.
