Raquel Merlini

Raquel Merlini is an injector and medical aesthetician at R Skin Aesthetics. She is a registered nurse holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a licensed aesthetician, and she is licensed to carry out non-invasive facial aesthetic procedures as a CANS injector and medical aesthetician. CANS stands for Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialized. She also holds an ISSA certification as a personal trainer. Her career began in the cosmetic field at 18, behind a Clinique counter at Hudson's. In 2010 she joined the practice of the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Beaumont Troy, where she worked alongside that surgeon. She was then cross-trained to work across Dr. Schenden's medical office, its medical day spa, and Columbia Surgical Center. She has logged more than 20,000 hours as an aesthetic injector. She works across anatomy, aging, skin, injections, laser treatments and surgical procedures. She has trained with several physicians across the country in aesthetic injections, has trained in sessions led by leaders in the field, and has completed specialized training for a range of aging and skin conditions. Her laser experience includes both ablative and non-ablative services. In consultations, she pairs clinical precision with patient education. Away from the treatment room, she has taught Oakland County young people about skin care and sun protection.
