Randy Knerr

Randy Knerr works as a hair stylist and designer at Salon Riviera Hair Studio in Redondo Beach. He trained at Vidal Sassoon Hair Academy. Over many years in the South Bay area of Los Angeles he has built a career in hair, with more than 40 years of experience in total.

His specialties are creative hair design for women, cutting, color and corrective color. He has worked in three Asian salons and brings knowledge of techniques suited to Asian hair, which he applies when he cuts, styles and colors it.

For 25 years he entered hair competitions in the United States and abroad. He has won numerous national and international cut and color competitions using Asian models, including first place for cut and color at the International New York Hair Show and 20 first-place awards at the California Hair Show. He is also a multiple winner in the best cut and color category, with first place at every major California hair show.

He travels to Japan regularly, where he teaches cut and color to aspiring Japanese hair stylists.
