Randall Valentino Gonzales

Randall Valentino Gonzales owns R Valentino Hair Salon, where he works as master stylist. He holds an honors-level degree in Behavioral Science, with a Psychology minor, from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He created the Behavioral Haircut and Color Science concept, the signature system The Method to the Madness, and the BHCS curriculum, The Art and Science of Client-Centric Hair Design. Stylists who complete that curriculum receive an honors-level designation. His hair design work spans cuts and color, with a focus on advanced hair science, expert color correction and premium treatments. He is known for repairing damaged hair, and he installs Babe Hair extensions. His training includes stylists, makeup artists, trainers and fashion figures, including Aveda, Neal Hamil, Versus of Versace and J Crew. His background also includes high-fashion show production and choreography, media appearances on television, film and radio, and years as a professional fitness trainer. He produced a Versace fashion show and styled Miss Texas for the runway. He also repaired the hair of a client who later became a finalist on The Voice. Appointments are unhurried and built around each client's needs, with an extra hour set aside for first-time guests. He plans cuts around length limits, texture preferences and everyday routines. He also runs the Scandal Randall brand and The Hairapist blog and podcast hub.
