Raj K. Syal, MD, FACOG

Raj K. Syal, MD, FACOG, founded Woodlands OB/GYN Associates and has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in The Woodlands since 1992. Over those years he has delivered more than 6,000 babies in the community, and the site cites 32 years of experience there. He also served as President of the Medical Staff at Houston Methodist, The Woodlands, through December 2019.

His training began with a BA from Austin College, completed between 1980 and 1984. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1984 to 1988 and completed his residency there from 1988 to 1992. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a credential first earned in 1995 and renewed in 2013, and he is a member and diplomate of that college.

He has moved his practice toward office-based gynecology, and his areas of interest include menopause, hormone dysfunctions and preventive care. He belongs to the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Urogynecologic Society and the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. According to the site, he was voted best OB/GYN in Woodlands Online's Best of The Woodlands each year from 2011 to 2023.
