Radbeh Torabi

Radbeh Torabi is a plastic surgeon at Elite Plastic Surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He earned an MD cum laude from the American University of Antigua in 2010.

His training began with a post-doctoral surgery research fellowship in transplantation biology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School from 2010 to 2012. He then completed general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2012 to 2014, followed by a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans from 2014 to 2020. Earlier, he worked as a research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2009 and at Wayne State University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2009.

His clinical experience includes autologous breast reconstruction and perforator-based free flaps. His training covered transplantation tolerance, vascularized composite allotransplantation including hand and face transplantation, and microsurgery. His research has examined autologous reconstruction, migraine surgery, patient satisfaction, reducing narcotic prescribing, and cosmetic surgery outcomes and safety. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications in transplantation, microsurgery and breast reconstruction, and lists a Scholarly Research Award and the ASPS In-Service Award among his honors.
