About
Rachel Spillman-Johnson owns Skin by Rachel and opened the studio in 2008. She received her esthetic license in 2007 and began working as an esthetician that year, after working through the 1990s and 2000s in film, television and theater production, where her work included casting, assisting directors, set design and studio makeup.
After 2007 she worked for dermatologists and high-end salons in Austin before opening her own studio. Her practice centers on tailored facials, along with the studio's brow and lash tinting, airbrush tanning, waxing and sugaring, and makeup applications and lessons.
