Preston Wada

Preston Wada is a Los Angeles hairstylist at The Establishment with more than 11 years in the industry. He trained at the Aveda Institute of Los Angeles, where he studied Aveda coloring, and he learned the Vidal Sassoon style of cutting there as well. His work spans cut and color, texture, styling, and wig design.

His career began on music video sets, where he assisted artists including Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, and Tinashe. He then moved into editorial work with photographers including Ellen Von Unwerth and John Russo, and his work has appeared in publications such as Vogue, Paper, Nylon, Playboy, and NME. He was the go-to hairstylist for Aveda Global Artistic Director of Color Ian Michael Black and was named key hairstylist at Black's Aveda show in 2016.

He has been key hairstylist to Grimes, Kehlani, Kesha, Tove Lo, and Rico Nasty, and his clients have also included Jennie of Blackpink, Peggy Gou, Coi Leray, Haim, Leona Lewis, and Ashnikko. He has previously worked with Naomi Campbell and London Grammar. He works in red-carpet glam, avant garde hair concepts, and soft, wearable looks.
