Porsche Jowers owns Hair Goddess University and has been braiding professionally since 1999. Early on, she was a master braider at Creative Hair's Salon in Hackensack, New Jersey, from 1999 to 2003, followed by work as an assistant braider at two salons from 2003 to 2012.
She trained and worked for two years at a natural hair salon in Atlanta while in cosmetology school, and holds a Master Cosmetology license from the State of Georgia. Her work centers on natural hair, braiding, crochet styles, sew-ins and silk pressing. She has also worked on film sets, photo shoots and fashion shows, and offers bridal, birthday and prom packages.
