Pooja Mally, MD

Pooja Mally, MD, is an oculoplastic surgeon at OPAL Aesthetics and a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in oculoplastic and orbital surgery. Her clinical work covers the eyebrows, eyelids, the structures that drain tears, and the eye socket. Beyond that, she performs cosmetic and laser procedures, such as Botox and dermal filler injections. She has presented research on midfacial aging and aesthetic Botox at national oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery symposiums, and she has written numerous publications and book chapters, largely about facial aging. The National Eye Institute awarded her a scholarship to study there. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences from Duke University and an MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. At Drexel she finished in the top tenth of her class and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Her internship was at UPMC-Mercy Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Drexel, where she served as chief resident. Fellowship training in oculoplastic and orbital surgery and neuro-ophthalmology took place at Allegheny General Hospital. Castle Connolly named her a Top Doctor in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and Atlanta Magazine named her a Top Doctor in 2022 and 2023.
