About
Polina Genkin co-founded Flying Beauticians with her mother, Nonna Daron. She started her aesthetician career at 18 in Russia and attended medical school in Moscow, which the salon describes as the US equivalent of a registered nursing degree.
She worked in New York City and San Francisco at salons including Henri Bendel, Christine Valmy and Mario Badescu. She has operated from the Union Square location since 1981, and the salon says she has earned several international awards in her field. Her clients have included celebrities and socialites in large cities.
