Philip Wolff

Philip Wolff is a Master Stylist and Global Educator at Philip Wolff Hair in Beverly Hills. He started as an apprentice at a Toni & Guy concept salon in Maryland at age 20. After moving to Los Angeles he worked at the Beverly Hills Privé Salon, then spent nine months at the W Hotel in Seoul, Korea, on runway shows, television and MTV Asia projects. He later served as an artistic educator for Privé for about five years.

In 2010 he left Privé to develop WOLFFBEHR education with artist Chief Behr, and the same year he opened his own boutique salon in Beverly Hills. His clientele has included A-list actors, high-end entertainment executives and Kim Kardashian. He cuts a wide range of styles, from short edgy cuts to long classic looks, for both men and women.

Since 2017 he has worked as an educator and ambassador for several beauty brands, teaching technical cutting and giving styling demonstrations for Behind The Chair, Brazilian Bond Builder, Bellami Hair and Matrix. In 2018 he partnered with Zen Master Scissors on the Wolff Shear, a cutting scissor he designed. He shares an educational partnership with Alfredo Lewis, and independent education world tours are part of that work. He has been featured on several podcasts. He won a Behind the Chair Award in 2017, and his cut work on Instagram, shared since late 2016, has built a following.
