Peter Capizzi MD

Peter Capizzi, MD, founded Capizzi MD Cosmetic Surgery & Med Spa in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2002, and he serves as its medical director. He is double board-certified in plastic surgery and general surgery. He trained at the Mayo Clinic, completing a general surgery residency followed by a plastic surgery residency, and he has seven years of hands-on training. He has spent more than two decades in breast surgery and has performed more than 10,000 breast implant procedures. He is known nationally for breast augmentation and breast revision, and his practice also offers breast reconstruction, breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, mommy makeovers and facial rejuvenation. He has been nicknamed Best in Breast for his work on breast surgery technology and technique. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for multiple consecutive years, and he has been featured in numerous national publications and aesthetic industry platforms. He has worked as a clinical investigator for several implant companies. He was an FDA investigator for Gummy Bear implants and serves on a U.S. advisory board for Motiva implant techniques. He is one of a group of training surgeons who teach incoming surgeons how to place new implant types, and he has played a close role in the FDA approval of most implants on the market today.
