Penny McGovern

Penny McGovern is the owner and a master hairstylist at Cielo Salon and Spa, and she owns Cielo Academy, which she founded to train newly graduated stylists. She has more than 30 years of experience in hair styling and has been in business for over 22 years. Her career began in 1994 at a hairdressing school in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and along the way she apprenticed with other hairdressers, styled independently, and established a salon of her own.

Her training includes precision haircutting with Vidal Sassoon, master color classes with Goldwell, and styling and cutting classes with Bumble & Bumble, all taken in New York City.
