Paula M. Aman

Paula M. Aman founded Derm by Design in North Oaks, Minnesota, where she works as a physician assistant (PA-C) and is board-certified in that role. She spent about ten years in family medicine and urgent care before moving into plastic surgery, performing procedures in hospitals and clinics. Her training began with a biology and chemistry degree from Concordia College, completed magna cum laude with a minor in health. PA training followed at the UW-Madison Medical School, and she later earned a Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg, where her doctoral paper looked at botulinum toxin for bruxism. She also trained alongside physicians Arthur Swift, Steven Yoelin and Mauricio de Maio. With more than 17 years of injecting behind her, she centers her practice on aesthetic injectables, paying close attention to facial anatomy and selecting safer injection zones. She favors hyaluronic acid fillers, pointing to their safety profile, and works with several product lines: Juvederm Ultra XC, Voluma XC, Vollure XC, Volbella XC, Refyne, Defyne and Contour. She stays current on techniques and products available in the US and belongs to the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Minnesota Academy of PA's.
