Patrick Chai

Patrick Chai is the owner and curator of Chai Hair Studio in Frisco. He works as a celebrity barber and hairstylist, with over 13 years of experience cutting and styling hair behind the chair and on set. He began his career in 2012 as an international educator for American Crew, after winning a national men's haircutting competition. Before moving into hair work, he spent three years as a software engineer in the defense industry in Los Angeles.

He trained in Los Angeles and in advanced women's cutting and coloring at Joseph Martin Salon in Beverly Hills. He signed with Exclusive Artists Management in 2013, an agency for celebrity barbers and stylists in Hollywood. He has prepared clients for red carpets at the Oscars and Golden Globes, and his work has been published in ELLE, The Hollywood Reporter, GQ and Nylon.

He focuses on men's haircutting, including the modern men's cut, along with women's bobs, long layered cuts, and editorial and red-carpet styling. He also works on structural bobs and long editorial layers. He tailors cuts to each client's personal style, and men's grooming work relies on careful technical execution.
