Pat DeVito

Pat DeVito is the Master Stylist and Haircutting Specialist at Trends by DeVicci, and he is also a Hair Consultant. He began his career at the John Dellaria salons and has worked in the beauty industry for years, starting with early work behind the chair. Across a career that spans decades, he has worked as a salon style director, a platform artist and a national educator for professional hair brands, and he has lived and worked in Boston and New York before settling in Tampa.

His focus is dry haircutting, including texture-led cuts, textured bobs, volume and creative haircuts. He developed the InTeXT Artistry CuT System, which shapes hair from the inside of the cut to build movement, weight and elevation, and he designed the InTeXT ArTistry CuT shears, with the design patent pending. He also developed the Contourvation Cutting System, which maps the contours of the head and face to personalize a cut. He is the Creative Director and Founder of InTeXT Hair, which developed its hair care products, and he teaches the InTeXT ArTistry CuT seminar for hairstylists through InTeXT Hair Academy. Clients travel to the salon for his dry haircutting, texture and keratin work.

He begins every visit with an in-depth consultation and considers head shape, facial features, hairline, density, natural pattern, texture, movement and lifestyle before planning a cut. He uses precision exterior cutting with soft perimeter edges, works with fine or coarse hair as well as hair extensions, and regards clients as guests. He aims to show clients how to recreate and maintain their results at home, with product recommendations.
