Padmaja Saranu

Padmaja Saranu works as a certified medical esthetician at Anitya Scientific Skin Care. She holds a Master/Medical Esthetician license from the Virginia and Maryland State Boards and has been board certified in both states since 2005. Before moving into skin care, she spent several years as a software professional. She began practicing skin care and teaching yoga professionally in 2003, and since 2005 she has worked as a medical esthetician in medspas and dermatologists' offices. Her training includes about 1,400 hours of skin care study and a Master's in skin care from Yvonne De Vilar Scientific Skin Care School, completed in 2005. She trained through the International Dermal Institute, did post-graduate work with Dermalogica, and took courses in aging skin, skin color and pigmentation, advanced skin analysis, professional acne management and professional skin exfoliation. She is a Certified Laser Technician for multiple lasers and completed certification in laser safety and the biophysics of laser applications in 2008. Her treatments include IPL and laser hair removal, and she works on sun damage, rosacea, veins and skin tightening. Her exfoliation work covers microdermabrasion, chemical peels and facial lymphatic drainage massage. Her experience includes acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, aging, sensitive skin and compromised skin. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher who has taught yoga courses in the Washington, D.C. area since 2003, and she can combine a skin care regimen, yoga and diet guidance for certain treatments. She works with adults, teens and adolescent clients, and clients have included professionals from many fields.
