Onelio Garcia Jr.

Onelio Garcia Jr. is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Imagos Plastic Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has served the plastic surgery community in Florida for the last 30 years and has performed more than 35,000 procedures.

He completed extensive training in aesthetic plastic surgery under Dr. Bernard L. Kaye. He has served as president of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, currently sits on its board of trustees, and has been president of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is the Florida representative to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and acts as its spokesperson. He also serves as vice president of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, among others.

He is a volunteer assistant professor in the plastic surgery division at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he contributes to resident training. He consults for several companies that make plastic surgery devices. He has published numerous articles on breast surgery, body contouring and facial aesthetic surgery, has written seventeen textbook chapters, and is the author of a textbook on ultrasound-assisted liposuction published in November 2019. He performs assisted liposuction and VASERlipo and is an international expert in the VASERlipo technique.
